Congrats Gentleman

Could someone help me out with Scott's surname? Is it "Lief" or "Leif"? He told me that it's pronounced with a long "i" sound, which would make it "Leif." He's listed on line up sheets and all ISC documentation as "Lief." But I'd like to hear about it from someone who knows for sure.
