All The Right Moves

Canada unbeaten

If Canada's head coach Tom Doucette (left) had listened to his critics he may have decided to toss in the towel before heading to the World Championships in Whitehorse.

Doucette and his staff had been heavily criticized, especially in BC, for many things but apparently the Canadian coaching staff has made all the right moves in the tournament so far as they sit atop the standings with a 5-0 record, including a 4-1 win over highly touted New Zealand.

Devon McCulough and Dustin Keshane have carried the bulk of the pitching load so far, with Cory Jones and Joran Graham helping out when needed.

The offense has been lead by Joran Graham, Cory Jones, and Jessin Potskin - each hitting three homeruns - as well as Terrel Walker, who has answered every challenge with a clutch hit.

Team Canada faces their toughest test tonight (June 24) when they face Australia who is also unbeaten with a 5-0 record. The Aussies have scored 6 more runs while allowing 6 fewer runs in comparison to the Canadians. Game time is 7:30 tonight.
