Bats catch fire

On Saturday morning they couldn't buy a run but by Sunday's final they couldn't be stopped.

Rachel's two run double in the 5th inning broke the final game open as the Heat coasted to an 8-1 win over the Pride from Maple Ridge.

Coach Linda Guenther was impressed with the way her team came together over the weekend, "It's basically confidence" she said, "yesterday they were pressing and couldn't get solid hits, today they were feeling good about themselves and it paid off".

Coaches Guenter and John Amour found the right combination when they batted Rachel (#4) in the "three spot" immediately following Carley and Natalie, who were on base nearly every time and Rachel capitalized by hitting the ball to all fields.
