Team Kaos Wins Gold

Kaos took home the gold medal at the recent B.C. Provincial Championships held in Richmond.

Playing a total of 9 games over the three day, rain interrupted tournament, Kaos outscored their opponents by an impressive 62 for, and 18 against, run margin.

In the double knock out championship round of four teams, Kaos defeated the Islanders 4-3 in the first final (after being behind 3-0 in the first inning), then proceeded with the next game (had to beat Islanders twice).

After a formidable display of offence, Kaos crushed their opponent 15-2 for the gold medal. As the #1 team in B.C., Kaos will now go on to represent BC at the Canadian National Sr. Women’s Fastpitch Championships being held in Surrey, August 8-12.

Kaos pitchers were tough on all opponents, its defense was errorless, the offence was scary to opponents, and the whole team never waivered from its intended goal.

Jillian Almeida and Cheryl Chan each had two homers over the tournament…Sasha Olson with three…Susan Kidney, and Kristy Jamieson had one each.
