A Giant Emerges

South Hill Giants win May Day Tourney

The South Hill Giants came out on top at a very competitive May Days Tournament in Kelowna. The Giants went undefeated in six games to take the title, out scoring their opponents 48 – 10 along the way. The team showed great depth and balance as they played a strong all-around game throughout the tournament, with significant contributions coming from the entire roster.

The highlight of the weekend was the emergence diminutive middle infielder Cameron Bint, who showed Shellenberg like skills on defense as well as potent offensive capabilities. It was easy to see why Bint was the captain of the World Champion Australian Junior National Team.

Next tournament action for the Giants will be the Vancouver Challenge followed by the Senior B Provincials, where they’ll be fielding a very similar roster to what they had in Kelowna.
