The Mariner bats were hot and pitchers Tyson Barkman and Tyler Lorenz got the job done in the circle as the Richmond club captured the "B" side of the Icebreaker.

Barkman, an 18 year old from Abbotsford, was particularly impressive hitting speeds up to 77mph, second only to Nick Underhill as the fastest pitcher clocked on the weekend.

The youngster looked good as he overpowered the Lagers from Surrey 7-0 and then edged the Hawks 2-1.

Tyler Lindgrin got the nod for the final game and was effective as he edged the Rebels 4-2.

Tyler Hagan (left) belted a key double in the final game and hit well all day as did Mariners' 2nd baseman Mike Dean.
