Firefighters Ride Pidcock
Coach Rick Pidcock (left) looked after the pre-game infield and his son Craig took care of the Meraloma batters as the Firefighters defeated the Lomas 8-1 in the 2nd game at Moody Park.
Craig Pidcock allowed only 1 hit as he struck out 13 batters in 6 innings. Pidcock's rise ball was clocked at 75mph in the rain and under the lights.
Tyler Cross took the loss for the Lomas as he was tagged for 8 hits while striking out 4.
In the first game of the night, Van City coasted to a 5-1 win over the Firefighters.
Dean Webster notched the win as he struck out 7 and allowed only 5 hits.
Ben Josephson and Webster each hit home runs for the bankers.
Craig Park was tagged with the loss for the Firefighters.
